Asia stocks in the green amid trade talk optimism

Markets in the Asia-Pacific region traded mostly higher on Friday after China said Beijing and Washington should use dialogue and consultations to "properly handle and control differences." Previously, Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang offered Tesla's chief executive Elon Musk permanent residency after Tesla opened Gigafactory 3 in Shanghai.

Japanese Nikkei 225 ended the session 0.97% higher, while the South Korean Kospi Composite rose 0.60%. China's Shanghai Composite increased 0.65% at 7:59 am CET, while Shenzhen Composite jumped 0.61% at the same time. Hong Kong's Hang Seng was up 0.57% at 8:01 am CET.

Australia's S&P/ASX 200 was 0.36% lower at the closing bell. Meanwhile, the dollar lost 0.09% against the yen, to go for 108.39 at 8:04 am CET.
