Bitcoin hits 4-month low, eyes $6,000

World's most traded cryptocurrency Bitcoin continued to decease on Wednesday, hitting a four-month low in the last trading session. The largest digital currency by market capitalization saw an intraday low of $6,107.88. Meanwhile, Bitcoin Cash saw a correction of over 3%, amounting to more than 25% of losses in the period of previous seven days.

A downward spiral hit all of the ten largest cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, with around $25 billion being wiped off the total value of all digital currencies. Late on Wednesday, total market cap stood at little over $271 billion.

In early trading on Thursday, Bitcoin was up 0.60% to go for $6,332.7 at 2:05 am CET, while its hard fork Bitcoin Cash traded 0.54% in the green, selling for $847.1 at the same time. Meanwhile, Ethereum rose 0.35% to go for $477.83 at 2:07 am CET.
