European equities rise slightly during premarket trading

Stocks across Europe traded mostly in the green on Friday following rallies on major markets in the Asia-Pacific region. Market watchers will be expecting data from the United Kingdom, more specifically, gross domestic product and industrial production figures. Meanwhile, investors will focus on the latest developments regarding the Britain's departure from the European Union as the crucial parliamentary vote on the Brexit withdrawal agreement draws near.

The FTSE 100 was 0.24% higher, while the French CAC 40 was flat in premarket trading. The German benchmark DAX was 0.22% in the green.

The euro gained 0.21% against the United States dollar, to change hands for 1.1522 at 8:56 am CET.
