Manafort breached plea agreement in 'numerous ways' - Mueller

Paul Manafort, former campaign manager of the United States President Donald Trump, "has breached his plea agreement by making numerous false statements," special counsel Robert Mueller stated in a court filing.

Manafort breached the agreement by lying to the investigators about "his interactions with Konstantin Kilimnik; Kilimnik's participation in count two of the superseding information, a wire transfer to a firm that was working for Manafort, information pertinent to another Department of Justice investigation and Manafort's contact with Administration officials," the document states.

The president's ex-campaign manager "told multiple discernible lies these were not instances of mere memory lapses," the Mueller filing summarizes, adding "the government is available to prove the false statements at a hearing."
