May failed again to deliver on Brexit vote - Starmer

United Kingdom Labour Party's Shadow Brexit Secretary Sir Keir Starmer (pictured) stated on Monday that Prime Minister Theresa May, once again, failed to deliver on the people's vote on Brexit. His remarks come amid the European Union's letter to London where the European leaders vowed to work towards avoiding a hard border on the Irish island. Also, UK House of Commons is set to vote on the Brexit deal tomorrow.

"The Prime Minister has once again failed to deliver. This is a long way from the significant and legally effective commitment the Prime Minister promised last month... It is a reiteration of the EU’s existing position," Starmer pointed out, adding "Once again, nothing has changed."

The prime minister said earlier that London secured "valuable assurances" from Brussels, but that no time limit was set to tackle the issue of Irish backstop.
