May: Second Brexit referendum not under any circumstance

There will be no second referendum on Britain leaving the European Union "under any circumstances," the office of British Prime Minister Theresa May said on Friday.

Earlier, the United Kingdom's Transport Minister Jo Johnson resigned from his post due to disagreements with May over Brexit. "It has become increasingly clear to me that the withdrawal agreement, which is being finalized in Brussels and Whitehall even as I write, will be a terrible mistake," Johnson wrote in a blog post. The final version of May's Brexit agreement is expected to be published next week.

Last week, over 70 business leaders called for a final say on a Brexit deal as well, signing a statement which said "a destructive and hard Brexit" will damage the country's economy.
