N. Korea unveils mobile device WiFi service

North Korea has developed a WiFi service for mobile devices, Yonhap reported on Wednesday citing North Korean state media.

The service is called Mirae and allows mobile users to access only websites approved by the country's authorities. Those who want access to Mirae will have to get a special sim card in order to use the WiFi service, which was introduced at a science fair earlier this year along with a smartphone made by North Korea.

Meanwhile, the official newspaper of North Korea's ruling party Rodong Sinmun issued an editorial on the need for more scientists and engineers in the country in order to secure progress in technological and economic development.
