Trump: Fake news downplaying N. Korea deal

United States President Donald Trump took to Twitter on Wednesday to criticize mainstream media for not giving enough significance to the agreement he reached with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

"So funny to watch the Fake News, especially NBC and CNN. They are fighting hard to downplay the deal with North Korea. 500 days ago they would have 'begged' for this deal-looked like war would break out. Our Country’s biggest enemy is the Fake News so easily promulgated by fools!" Trump wrote.

On Tuesday, Trump and Kim met in Singapore and signed a document in which Pyongyang agreed to a "complete denuclearization" in exchange for "security guarantees," while the US president promised to stop US and South Korean joint military drills. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer slammed the outcome of the summit, claiming the communique lacks details on how the denuclearization will be achieved.
