Trump: I doubt China trade deal will happen

United States President Donald Trump said on Thursday that he "tends to doubt" the trade agreement with China will be concluded due to the fact that the Asian country "has become very spoiled." He warned that Beijing "won't rip [the US] off anymore" and that it provoked "an evacuation of wealth like nobody has ever seen before." Trump's comments come amid another round of trade negotiations with a Chinese delegation in Washington, ahead of his meeting with Vice Premier Liu He.

On the subject of North Korea, Trump said Pyongyang "may have spoken with China," but that he has not been notified of any change to his upcoming meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un scheduled for June 12. The president speculated that the rogue regime might "not want" a meeting, but claimed that, if Kim stands by his decision to abandon its nuclear program, "he'll get protections that would be very strong."
