Trump pressured not to pull out from Syria - Cavusoglu

United States President Donald Trump is under "serious pressure" not to withdraw from Syria, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu stated on Monday. Turkey's top diplomat added that Ankara is not afraid of Trump's threats.

Cavusoglu also noted that "strategic partners" shouldn't communicate through social media channels, referencing President Trump's outburst on Twitter, warning Ankara it would be economically devastated by Washington if the country attacks Kurds in Syria.

"Will devastate Turkey economically if they hit Kurds," Trump tweeted earlier. "Likewise, do not want the Kurds to provoke Turkey," the president added.
