Wall Street closes in the red as volatile week ends

Major markets in the United States closed deeply in the red on Friday as a volatile week ended on Wall Street. The Dow Jones closed 2.24% lower. Intel Corporation, Cisco Systems and Microsoft were the biggest losers, declining 4.40%, 4.03% and 4%, respectively. The Nasdaq 100 was 3.30% in the red at the end of the session, with American Airlines plunging 9.12%. The S&P 500 ended 2.33% lower, as Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Nvidia dropping 9.12% and 6.75%, respectively.

The euro lost 0.25% against the greenback, changing hands for 1.1411 10:00 pm CET.
