WH: Trump-Putin meeting is on despite charges

The White House said that the planned meeting between United States President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin will happen on July 16 despite US charges against Russian intelligence officers. "It's on," White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders said of the Helsinki meeting between two leaders scheduled for Monday.

Meanwhile, US Republican Senator John McCain said that Trump must hold Putin accountable after the indictment or else the meeting should not take place. Democrats also called Trump not to meet with Putin.
