Woman surrenders in France after bomb threat

The crisis was declared over on Thursday in Ales in France's south as a woman who barricaded herself in a bank went out with her hands in the air and special police forces arrested her. The local media said she was taken to psychiatric assessment after she threatened to "blow everything up" in a standoff.

A wide evacuation in the center of the town in Occitanie‌ was conducted while she was inside the local branch of LCL SA, owned by Credit Agricole SA. According to witnesses, the assailant didn't seem to be armed after all, she looked confused and spoke incoherently. The lender's staff were taken to safety as soon as the incident started.
